In 2012, Swindon Referees’ Association (SRA) launched our new support project called “LACES”.
LACES is a learning based session where referees can anonymously voice their challenges and experiences with support from the Swindon RA.
At every SRA meeting a LACES session will be run to discuss referees’ personal experiences and challenges while out officiating. Each experience, challenge, scenario, topic or debate can be submitted anonymously and will be discussed as a group to allow all persons to give their views. With the advantage of anonymously discussing your personal challenges and experiences with other referees we aim to give you the support you need to make refereeing a fun and enjoyable experience and provide you with positive solutions.
If you have any challenges or experiences you would like the SRA to discuss as a group then come along to one of our meetings and take part in our LACES project. We guarantee all submissions will be anonymous.
------------
SRA also have mentors within the society who will come out and watch games to offer support and advice on how to develop and reach your maximum potential. If this is required by a referee, please contact: swindonra@hotmail.com and we will be in contact.
